No standard bag size, due to the different content the bag can contain.
E.g. 1 Ton of features and 1 Ton of Lead is the same weight, but have a big difference in density and thus a big difference in bag size.
BAG TYPES
Two main bag types:
- Single Trip:
- A cost effective lightweight bulk bag with the applicable carrying capacity only suitable for 1 trip.
- Multi Trip:
- A reusable bulk bag that vastly reduces your packaging cost per unit every time the bag is reused.
Safe Working Loads:
Safe working load is normally 5:1, which means the bag can carry up to 5 times the weight it is suppose to carry. However, if you request, we can custom a bag with a minimum safety factory of 6:1 approved by the United Nation (UN).
Material:
- All material is UV stabilized Heavy duty Woven Polypropylene.
- All material is breathable
Although the material can be woven in any specific width, there are a few commonly used sizes:
- 80 cm
- 90 cm
- 91 cm
- 95 cm
- 100 cm
- 105 cm
- 110 cm
- 120 cm
BAG CLASSIFICATIONS:

Conventional Style
- Inside dimensions in not the outside dimension.
- The webbing is sewn onto the corners of the bag.
- Flat woven material is being used

Omega style
- The big advantage of an omega style bag is that the full inside capacity of the bag can be utilized, due to the fact that the webbing isn’t sewn onto the corners of the bag, your inside dimensions are your outside dimensions.
- Omega material has 8 x re-enforced strips woven into the material to provide the extra support when lifting the bags.
- The re-enforced strips can be placed any distance from the corners of the bag, depending on customer preference.
- The webbing is then placed inside the cuff and aligned with re-enforced strips before being sewn onto the bag.
- Circular Woven or Tube Material being used

Formstable
- Baffles from PP fabric are sewn across the four corners of the bulk bag.
- Another type of formstable bulk bag has only one baffle which is sewn across the middle of the bulk bag.
- Ideal for containerizing (optimum use of space).


LIFTING SPECIFICATIONS:

Single Point Lift
- Ideal for crane lift.
- Material of bag form a lifting loop.

CROSS CORNER LOOPS
- The most common lifting method, used by forklifts etc.
- Webbing for lifting loops extends above the bag to form any size of lifting required i.e. 30cm; 35cm; 50cm etc.

Stevedore
- 2 Sleeves sewn onto opposite sides of the bag.
- The sleeves create an additional centre lift option to the bags.

Four Point lift
- The most common lifting method, used by forklifts etc.
- Webbing for lifting loops extends above the bag to form any size of lifting required i.e. 30cm; 35cm; 50cm etc.

Cross Corner Lift – Mulox
- Cross corner lifting loops.
- Loops are sewn onto the outside of the bag.

Cargo Slings
- Webbing is sewn into a sling, creating 4 x lifting loops.
- The sling can be sewn onto a base to create a reference for the size of a stack to be packed.
- Slings are ideal to transport a stack of smaller bags (i.e. 25kg or 50Kg bags).
- Slings are a great replacement for pallets. It’s easy to transport and doesn’t require any fumigation etc.
TOP FILLING SPECIFICATIONS:

Top Filling Spout
- Diameters varies as follows: 22 cm, 30 cm, 38 cm, 45 cm, 50 cm, 60 cm.
- These are standard sizes but once again, can be changed to suit each customer’s needs.
- The filling spout is ideal for filling the bulk bag out of storage bins or any other automatic filling mechanism.


Capped Top
- Provides a total opening top complete with tie-downs.
- This bag is ideal for hand loading or loading smaller packed bags.


Open Top
- A more economical opening.
- Providing top protection of your product is not required.

Duffel Top
- Top can be completely opened for filling.
- Mechanizes and hand filling can be done.
- The duffle gives a more secure closure than the capped top.
BOTTOM SPECIFICATIONS:

Full Bottom Discharge (FBD)
- An opening that allows rapid and total discharge of the bag.
- Bag is ideal for wet, slow or difficult flowing products. (i.e. wet sand)

Petal Closure
- Diameters varies as follows: 22 cm, 30 cm, 38 cm, 45 cm, 50 cm, and 60 cm.
- This discharge openings are best for controlled discharge of easy flowing products. (I.e. dry sand etc.)

Secondary Closure (Combo)
- Bottom Spout with a secondary closure
- Diameters vary as follows: 22cm, 30cm, 45cm, and 60cm.
- These are standard size but can be change to suit each customer’s needs.

Closed Bottom
- The closed bottom is primarily used in conjunction with single trip bags.

- Liners can be fitted with various sizes of only top filling spouts is required.

Duffel Top
- Liners can be fitted with various sizes of top and bottom discharge spouts.
